This Week In Science #12

This week in science I did energy pyramids / Food chains. The list of energy pyramids / Food chains are Producer, Consumer, Herbivores and Secondary Consumers. I also learned about Symbiotic Relationships. Some of the Symbiotic Relationships are Parasitism, Commensalism and Mutualism. We use them to figure out what two types of animals are to each other. For Example A Crocodile and a leach are Parasitism because the leach is getting blood and the crocodile is getting nothing. So the plover comes and helps out the crocodile.

This week in science we learned about the Food chain and the Energy pyramids and i learned that there are such things as producers and consumers and who is at the top of the food chain in the animal world. Crocodiles and Plovers work together to take out leaches from the mouth of a crocodile. This picture shows the plover taking out the leaches from the crocodiles mouth. They both are getting something out of it so they both are mutualistic.

Twis #13

Q : If we were to add five more spiders to your spider habitat tank, what would happen? And why? Use these terms in your explanation: glucose, photosynthesis, energy,  carbon, oxygen

A: If we added five more spiders they would start to reproduce and make more spiders but if they are the same sex they would fight each other and probably eat the other ones dead body. If there are more spiders there would be twice as much as Glucose, Photosynthesis , Energy , Carbon and Oxygen. Twice as much spiders will cause twice as much of the photosynthesis.
